The capital comes alive this month with gastronomic delights for the London Food Festival (3-17 October 2011) Plus there is lots to get the children involved too.
For two weeks (3-17 October) London’s top restaurants and bars join forces to bring us a festival that honors the fabulously diverse range of food on offer in the city. The London Food Festival will be split up into three elements. ‘Main Events’ will see everything from pop-up supplier’s markets on the train station concourses of Waterloo and Paddington, to sky-high dining on the London Eye – cooked by the likes of Angela Hartnett and Jason Atherton.
Next up are the ‘Side Order Events’. Head down to family favourite Pizza Express where you can choose from two limited edition pizzas ‘The Boris’ or ‘The Ken’. The two Mayoral candidates won’t just be battling it out politically in six months time, this month they literally go face-to-face with Pizza Express’ own Mayoral Election. The most popular pizza will be revealed on October 17th.
Finally, restaurants across the city are offering heavily discounted two course menus for just £10, £15, £20 and £25. On the menu are The Blue Print Café, ideal if you get a chance to leave the kids at home, as well as child-friendly places such as Café Rouge and Jack’s in Queens Park Village.
