Limited edition burgers at Shake Shack London by Massimo Bottura

Shake ShackOn Sunday 9 November, world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura will be dishing up just 500 of his limited edition Emilia burgers at Shake Shack in Covent Garden.

 

In celebration of this week’s release of his first English language cookbook, Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef (Phaidon, £39.95), Chef Bottura will appear at the Covent Garden Shake Shack from 11:00am on November 9th to serve up burgers, greet fans, and sign copies of his book.

 

Only 500 of The Emilia burgers will be served—available on a first-come, first-served basis. Shake Shack’s limited edition burger, The Emilia (£8.25), is named after the Emilia – Romagna region of Italy and has been masterfully crafted by Chef Bottura and Shake Shack culinary director Mark Rosati.

 

The limited edition Emilia burger is made with a custom-blend 100% Aberdeen Angus beef patty ground with cotechino sausage and parmigiano reggiano, and topped with salsa verde and the Villa Manodori balsamic mayonnaise made with Chef Bottura’s Villa Manodori Artigianale balsamic vinegar from Trebbiano grapes grown in Italy.

 

“I have always admired Massimo’s imaginative and whimsical approach to Italian cuisine,” says Mark Rosati, culinary director of Shake Shack, “We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with one of Italy’s most charismatic and imaginative chefs.”

 

Massimo Bottura is celebrated the world over for honoring Italian food traditions yet boldly advancing the cuisine into the future. His Michelin 3-Star Italian restaurant was recently ranked number 3 at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards (for the second year running), he was made Ambassador for Italian food in the United States, he has launched his own range of artisanal balsamic vinegars and olive oils soon available at Wholefoods, is now launching his highly anticipated cook book and will be dishing up 500 delicious burgers to lucky customers in Covent Garden this Sunday.
