Lanvin For Ladurée Macarons

Lanvin for Laduree MacaroonsFashion and food unite in a unique collaboration – Lanvin for Ladurée macarons.

Two of France’s chicest brands, fashion house Lanvin and luxury macaron makers Ladurée have teamed up for an exclusive collaboration. The partnership sees Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz design an exclusive box of macarons for the famous confectionery brand.

The quirky box is a huge departure from Ladurée’s usual chic and sophisticated pastel colour palette, and instead features whimsical cartoon drawings, ‘I Heart Lanvin’ logos and scribbled rainbow coloured doodles. Trimmed in bold red, the box is perfectly presented and tied up with a big red grosgrain ribbon – a perfect gift for foodie and fashion fans alike.

Macarons are the sweet treat of choice amongst the fashion set and we’re sure style fans will be aching to get their hands on the exclusive bubblegum flavoured confectionary. In colourful shades of pink, orange and red these limited edition macarons look as good as they taste. Both Elbaz and Laudée’s head pastry chef Vincent Lemains dreamed up the unique flavour, which is said to be inspired by the playfulness and penchant for sweet things as a child.

The French fashion house released a statement explaining the quirky bubblegum flavour, explaining,  “They say that a delectable air of childhood surrounds those with a soft spot for sweets; this playful aura still follows Mr Elbaz, despite his role as a prominent couturier today.”

The food-meets-fashion collaboration is not a first for Paris based Ladurée who have previously collaborated with the likes of Christian Louboutin, Marni and John Galliano to name a few.

Each of the Lanvin for Ladurée boxes comes complete with eight macarons. We can’t promise they’ll be in there for long, but the limited edition box is sure to become a well treasured collectors item.

The Lanvin for Ladurée Limited Edition Macarons are available now at Ladurée stores.
