Uniqlo Colour Collection

Tavi Gevinson and Cyndi Lauper for Uniqlo Colour CollectionHigh street brand, Uniqlo have chosen singer Cyndi Lauper and fashion blogger Tavi Gevinson to front their Spring 2012 Colour Collection.

Coloured denim is going to be one of Spring Summer 12’s biggest and most wearable trends. Thankfully high street favourite and specialists in casual basics, Uniqlo have cottoned on to the colourful trend by launching their Colour Collection – a rainbow of bright denim pieces sure to brighten up your look and your day.

Known for her brave use of colour and quirky style, Cyndi Lauper has been chosen to front the Uniqlo collection along with Tavi Gevinson – a small town American girl who in the past few years has been propelled into fashion’s spotlight thanks to her internationally success blog, The Style Rookie. The unlikely duo have been chosen as they represent the Japanese brand’s ethos perfectly; ‘strong mindedness, individuality, an inspirational unique outlook on life, and the importance of expressing the real you’.

The collection of bright denim comes in seven of Spring Summer’s hottest pastel shades, from orange to pink, green to purple. Priced at only £29.90 for a pair of jeans, the range is the easiest and most wallet-friendly way to rock the trend. We’ll be wearing the candy pink skinnies with a simple white tee and comfy plimsoles when the weather perks up, and for a bright evening look the scarlet red skinnies, a crisp white skirt, black blazer and leopard print shoes will make for a modern glam look.

The Uniqlo Colour Collection will launch in over 1000 stores worldwide and online from February 2012.
