Sophie Dahl Teams Up With Brora

Sophie Dahl and BroraModel, cook, and TV chef Sophie Dahl has teamed up with British cashmere brand Brora this season, to launch an exclusive womenswear collection.

With cookbooks, a food TV series and a career as a model all listed her CV, we’re wondering if there is no end to Sophie Dahl’s talents. This spring, Sophie is back with a new vocation – fashion designer – as she teams up with British heritage brand, Brora.

The partnership sees Dahl and Brora, together produce a womenswear line that marries together Brora’s fine knits and cashmere with Sophie’s signature style. Titled, The Lost Weekend the collection comprises classic down time dressing and casual separates, from shirt dresses to chunky knits.

The inspiration for the collection comes from the clothes Sophie herself has always wanted to own and wear. The perfect cardigan that can be thrown over anything from a party dress to a pair of skinny cigarette pants, to a silk dress that can be worn poolside over a bikini or in the workplace with a tailored blazer. Essentially, The Lost Weekend is a capsule collection of Dahl’s style, and a realistic approach to the modern woman’s wardrobe.

Dahl sums the collection up saying; “The most important thing was that the clothes felt infinitely wearable, comfortable and effortlessly confident.”

Highlights of the collection include the Marilyn Marl Jumper (£145) in a choice of summery coral or sea holly green. Blended from cotton and linen, it’s the perfect summer knit to throw on over a shirt and shorts or a summer dress on cool evenings. And, we’re also loving the Talitha Silk Dress (£275) with its tie waist detail and elegant on-the-knee hemline, it will flatter and enhance a womanly form.

The collection is available to buy in store and online now, with prices starting at £125.
