London based and online womenswear boutique, Oxygen launch own label, Related for Autumn Winter 13.
Oxygen Boutique on London’s Eastcastle Street is one of the city’s go-to shops if you’re after a host of cult brands from around the globe. Stocking some favourites from Sea NY to jewellery brand, Dannijo, Oxygen has been a firm favourite of London’s fashion set since it launched back in 2009.
Mother and daughter duo and founders of the standalone and online boutique, Helen and Joanna Nicola have now turned their hand to design, launching Oxygen’s very first own brand label, Related.
Launching for Autumn 13, not only will Related be stocked at the Oxygen Boutique and online store, but across a handful of high end boutiques across the UK. So non-Londoners needn’t worry.
Related’s inaugural collection is stunning, fitting in with the brands Oxygen already stocks, whilst holding its own amongst some well-established players.
With a strong 60s and 70s vibe running through the collection, expect to see plenty of prints from geometric to metallic brocade. A kid of the 70s herself, Helen has used her childhood holiday memories of traveling far and wide with her Uncle, kitted out in quintessentially 70s flare. Helen then went on to study fashion, honing her design skills.
Helen’s daughter Joanne swiftly followed in her family’s fashionable footsteps, moving to one of the world’s major fashion capital’s NYC. It was here Joanne discovered many of the cult US labels that are now stocked at Oxygen. That same effortless NY cool can be seen in the debut Related collection, from graphic tees to printed sundresses, statement hats to tailored leather piece.
Standouts of the Autumn 13 collection have to be the metallic Gold Pattern High Neck Dress, which is already climbing up the ranks of our party season wish list. And, the Diamond Jacquard Pleat Front Skirt, that’ll make for the perfect boardroom to bar separate.
