Brit designer Jonathan Saunders has deigned a limited edition nouveau bird scarf exclusively for luxury department store, Harvey Nichols.
Scottish womenswear designer Jonathan Saunders is supporting his roots this season with an exclusive partnership with Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh. To celebrate the Scottish capital’s luxury store’s 10th birthday, Saunders has designed a limited edition scarf in a stunning nouveau bird print, which will be exclusively sold in the Edinburgh store and at Harvey Nichols online.
Made from a fine blend of modal and cashmere, the vibrant scarf is the perfect addition to a winter wardrobe. With a multi-coloured repeat pattern of sweet house martins and stylised wisteria blooms, this winter warmer is sure to add a subtle pop of colour to the usual blacks, greys and navys of Autumn/Winter.
The limited edition accessory is in keeping with Jonathan Saunders’ AW12 collection – a burst of kaleidoscope colour set against deep black and various floral prints. Wear it tucked into a masculine military coat for a flash of colour, or out and proud over a red chunky knit sweater and off-duty denim.
Always one to choose his collaborations wisely, Saunders is particularly proud of this limited edition piece, perhaps due to the Scottish links he shares with the store.
“I am particularly proud to be a part of this collaboration with such an influential department store like Harvey Nichols. We’ve been close ever since I started designing and for this I show my appreciation with our exclusive limited edition Nouveau Bird Scarf. I am honoured to be celebrating Harvey Nichol’s 10th birthday in my home country,” explains the designer.
There is a downside though; only 50 of these unique scarves have been put into production. If you’re lucky enough to live in Edinburgh hotfoot it down to the Saint Andrews Square store, or alternatively get online where a couple of the limited edition scarves will be sold too.
