Luxury London label Issa, join forces with American high-street store Banana Republic this season, for an exclusive collaboration.

Banana Republic, known for their grown up basics and stylish, affordable work wear have enlisted the help of London Fashion Week designer, Issa this season. Fusing together both of the brand’s signature styles, expect to see daytime wrap dresses infused with Issa’s vibrant prints.

A very patriotic video from this side of the pond at least, has been released in celebration of the collection. Model Jessica Hart plays the protagonist, coyly appearing from a Royal guardsman’s post to flirt and tease a line of Buckingham Palace’s finest busbies.

As Hart changes from look to look from the Banana Republic x Issa line, it’s one dress that captures the attention of one of the stoic soldiers – a Royal blue silk wrap dress.

That dress, that shot to global fame after Kate Middleton wore it to announce her engagement to Prince Wills, has been re-released as a part of collaboration. The original Issa dress sold out almost immediately after the announcement back in 2010, so elbows at the ready, as this high street interpretation is sure to do the same.

With price points ranging from £65 to £75, the Banana Republic collection offers a much more affable way to covet a piece of Issa – the original engagement dress was priced at £565.

Other pieces in the collection include a zebra print, kaftan style dress – perfect to pack in your holiday wardrobe with a coral statement necklace and chunky wooden heels. As well as a 60s inspire aqua shift dress and a signature Issa print wrap dress – already spotted on Naomi Watts.

We can’t promise snapping up a Banana Republic X Issa dress will nab you your own Prince Charming, but it might turn the heads of a few admirers at least.
