Hobbs Launches Second Royal Palaces Collection

Hobbs Palace CollectionHobbs launches its second collection in collaboration with the Historic Royal palaces- and in doing so creates the ultimate capsule wedding wardrobe.

With wedding season firmly upon us, the second Hobbs and Historic Royal Palaces collection couldn’t be more perfectly timed.

Beloved by the Duchess of Cambridge and the StyleNest team for their fail-safe tailored dresses and remarkably well-crafted on-trend cover-ups, Hobbs has now added beautiful wedding attire to its well-honed design bow.

Inspired by Royal Palace architecture and the Royal Ceremonial dress archives, the aptly named Collection No.2 is an assortment of pretty, wedding-appropriate delights that can easily be mixed and matched to create your own individual look.

Within it, you can expect to find delicate orange blossom prints (inspired by the flowers of Queen Victoria’s veil nonetheless), Scottish lace echoing the Hampton Court Palace filigree gates, and floral shifts and shirts based on 18th Century waistcoats. But what really sets this collection apart are the archival references and beautiful craftsmanship and exclusively designed fabrics from British manufacturers.

So now you know where to buy your wedding guest get-up, what about how to wear it? Keep things the right side of modern with strong colours and stand-out accessories. For the lace separates why not opt for a bold lip and embellished clutch, and for the full skirts and shift dresses a boxy jacket and statement necklace will really add some punch. Or you could of course really shake things up by teaming our favourite piece, the bias cut gown, with a pair of metallic flats and a boho-inspired headpiece.

Whatever your style or occasion and with prices starting from as little as £59, there’s sure to be a piece for you – it’s just all about adding your own spin.

The 20 piece collection is now available online and at the following UK stores: Covent Garden, Kings Road, Windsor, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
