Credit cards at the ready, it’s time to go to shoe heaven. This month, Harrods unveiled its brand new, velvet lined shoe department. No longer confined to the basement, the newly named Shoe Heaven now takes pride of place on the fifth floor. And with 40,00 sq. ft of 50 leading designers, 17 plush boutiques and a pair of £4,390 pair of Valentino shoes in the offering- it’s the stuff of shoe dreams.

But what’s really caught our magpie-like attention is the limited edition Silver Linings collection. Created specially for the launch after Harrods invited a host of the world’s top designers to create their most iconic shoes in silver, the 35 standout shoes are the stuff of collectors dreams.

From a pair of gem-encrusted Aquzzura heels to a to-die-for pair of molten silver Giuseppe Zanotti hi tops, there is something for every style- even if not for every budget.
