Anorak launched in January 2008 by designer Laurie Robertson after she graduated with a Masters in printed textiles from the Royal College of Art in London. Laurie has always been interested in functional, useful objects and is not swayed by luxury. Family camping trips across Europe during the late seventies and early eighties are the main inspiration behind the brand. Whilst products like these have been updated over the years and brought more in line with modern life, Laurie noted that the visual aesthetic remained drab and uninteresting.
