H&M Conscious Collection

If you don’t think you can work green into your wardrobe this season, then think again. H&M’s conscious collection has landed, and with it the usual breath of fresh air onto the high street.

Though ethical fashion has very much become a buzzword in the industry of late, those of us who trail the mid-range racks know that it comes at a cost; our high street favourites don’t often deliver on design, price and environmental brownie points.

How lovely it is then, that H&M continue to deliver all three. In it’s look, feel and construction, their Spring Conscious collection 2015 is no exception, demonstrating organic values from start to finish. Imperfection is a key notion – though details are finished expertly, designs are pinned by asymmetry, cutaways, sequins and macrame. Minimalism is lost to long, fluid shapes that fall across the body’s natural curves, as opposed to boxing them away. Prints are hand painted, in the forms of birds and enlarged fish scales. Created from recycled materials, elements of nature are clear in every aspect – and it suits the face of the collection, Olivia Wilde, quite nicely.

Collection available from 16th April
