Shavata, the queen of eyebrows who famously quoted “think of your eyebrows as sisters, not twins” has taken her precision and attention to detail, and opened her first nail bar in Marks and Spencer!
In addition to her regular treatment menu of threading, tinting, eyelashes and waxing, Shavata now offer mani’s, pedi’s and gel polish.
I decided to have gel polish applied. My gel of choice is almost always OPI so I was very pleased to see nearly every OPI colour available at Shavata! I chose ‘Big Apple Red’ a bright but classic, match-everything red and I loved it! Gel polish can last for up to 2 weeks so counter in the “boredom factor” when choosing a colour. Gel polish cannot be removed with regular nail polish remover either; you will need to head back to the nail bar to have it soaked off with acetone (10-15 minute appointment) so bear that in mind too. Despite all this, gel polish is actually very low maintenance and great if regular polish chips easily on you. I usually only have gel colour if I am going on holiday as I personally don’t think it is ideal for nail health to wear continuously.
