StyleNest headed to Imagine Spa for a day of pampering and relaxation.

A stone’s throw away from Heathrow Terminal 5 lies the luxurious Imagine Spa, tucked inside the elegant 4 Star Hilton Hotel. They say that first impressions are everything, and at Imagine Spa the impressions certainly did not disappoint.

After a quick change into our cosy bathrobes and comfortable spa slippers we were soon given an introductory tour and less than ten minutes later we found ourselves at home relaxing in the mineral grotto. An interesting twist to the conventional steam room the mineral grotto uses mineral salts and essences to aid healing. Whilst the minerals work on those pesky backaches, the heated seats are moulded to the natural contours of the body allowing you to relax and heal from the inside as well as the outside. So much so that we found ourselves almost nodding off before the treatment had even started.

The Aroma Steam Room was next on our list. Here steam and essential oils are infused together to create a beautifully scented ambiance that not only smells delicious but also helps cleanse the body by removing impurities. 15 – 20 minutes is all you need to start feeling the aroma’s hard work.

You will soon find, as we did, that there are a number of facilities you can indulge in at Imagine Spa. If steam rooms and mineral grottos aren’t your thing, there’s a sauna feature shower, which can either unleash a warm tropical rain shower to help calm and soothe or a peppermint mist to refresh and invigorate.

With the chaos of Fashion Week over, we found ourselves in great need of some relaxation so the Hot Oil Treatment at Imagine Spa was just what the doctor ordered. Warm luxurious oil was massaged into our tired bodies with a pressure that was hard enough to tackle knots but gentle enough to not leave us sore. Instantly relaxing we found ourselves yet again nodding off. It was hard to believe that an entire hour of absolute bliss quickly came to an end so quickly, yet we were pleased to find our skin feeling lusciously soft, sans grease, and our bodies light and airy as though we had rested for years. In sum, this hot oil treatment lived up to our expectations.

With a delicious healthy lunch to finish, which consisted of smoked salmon and peppery rocket salad, our luxurious day at Imagine had come to a bittersweet end. Another quick change and we were on our way back to Zone 1 relaxed, and ready to take on the city.
