StyleNest headed to the The Hydrofit Spa on the Fulham Road to review the new Hydrofit Slim Treatment.
The Hydrofit Spa on the Fulham Road is the UK’s first ever hydro fit centre. Its USP is water biking and water jogging, a craze that has taken the US by storm. This low impact workout takes place in futuristic bath-like pods, individual or double, that jet out water and oxygen whilst you train, and where a 30minute session guarantees a minimum 300 calorie burn.
Not simply a mecca for fitness enthusiasts however, Hydrofit also offers a full menu of spa services, perfect for post-workout recuperation.
StyleNest went along to try out a new slim treatment – the La Sultane de Saba Green Tea Tingler.
The treatment, which lasts 55 minutes and costs £75, concentrates on the cellulite prone areas of the body – namely, the bum and thighs.
First off, our therapist did a brief assessment to select products to suit our specific needs, before deciding which style of massage to employ. The treatment began with a green tea and ginger exfoliating mineral salt scrub, designed to remove dead skin cells and boost microcirculation. An optional cold shower followed to remove the excess scrub and further stimulate circulation.
Next, the therapist focused on the lower body with a lymphatic drainage massage using green tea and ginger oil followed by a Rassoul mud wrap – a purifying clay rich in iron oxide and magnesium. The treatment concluded with a relaxing neck and shoulder massage, followed by a final shower – warm this time.
Leaving the spa, our dry, winter skin was transformed and felt incredibly smooth and hydrated. We also felt physically centred and rejuvenated thanks to the focus of the massage on the lower body.
