With bikini season in full swing, StyleNest paid a visit to the Aromatherapy Associates boutique for a pre-tan polish that guarantees supple skin and long-lasting tan results.
Tucked away from the busy streets of Knightsbridge lies a beauty haven for those seeking tailored treatments and deep relaxation. With exotic fragrances filling the room, we were welcomed via Aromatherapy Associates‘ one-of-a-kind blends.
Once we took in the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the beauty therapist kindly walked us through the intensely nourishing treatment informing us of what to expect throughout.
Lying on the lukewarm towels our minds drifted off as our skin was throughly exfoliated with an intense body sea-salt scrub. Containing coffee and frankincense, this deeply nourishing scrub helps stimulate and revive dull-looking skin. Hands and feet were also given extra attention with a soothing mud wrap – a welcomed treat for neglected feet. Starting from the top and working down to the calves, our skin was thoroughly buffed to reveal sparkling fresh skin.
Post-shower, which was kindly pre-adjusted to room temperature by our beauty therapist, our skin was left incredibly soft and ready to absorb all the goodness of a rich, natural serum, bursting with plant extracts. Soothing and refreshing, this aromatic serum sunk into our pores immediately. Including ylang ylang, geranium and macadamia, the serum helps to nourish and moisturise the skin without leaving an oily residue.
That’s not all. Adding the finishing touch to our nourishing treatment, the lovely beauty therapist massaged murumu, shea and babassa body butter into our skin. Providing a luxurious polish to our already intensely nourished bodies, we couldn’t wait to hit the sun lounges. Skin absorbs the sun rays better when it is well-moisturised, with this in mind Aromatherapy Associates truly pampers and primes the skin for summer sun via an intense cleansing scrub and nourishing serums, which in turn, guarantees long-lasting tans.
To let our skin absorb all the natural goodness the beauty therapist allowed us time to rest and relax and take it all in. With calming sounds keeping us company, StyleNest entered a deep peaceful slumber. Our heavenly treatment ended with a delicious herbal tea and some nibbles, and it was back into the city streets once again.
