StyleNest attended the launch of the Aveda AW12 Passion Flower Makeup Collection with makeup artist Adam de Cruz. Here he shares his exclusive tips to get your AW12 look.
StyleNest have caught up with Adam de Cruz to bring you three feminine looks with a contemporary twist. From lustrous skin to vibrant lips and defined brows, the collection presents a range of soft Petal Essence Single Eye Color shadows and Nourish-Mint Smoothing Lip Color.
Look 1. Less is More
Go minimal this winter with a pop of colour for a dramatic but subtle look. Ideal for lighter skin tones, this nude skin with simple eyes and berry-drenched lips make for an understated and fresh look.
Step 1. Use Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisturiser on your face for a luminescent glow and subtle dewy finish.
Step 2. Line your lips with Aveda Foxglove Nourish Mint Lip Liner (£14.00) and then fill the lip area with the liner for a neutral base. This ensures the lipstick stays in place all day with no bleeding or smudging.
Step 3. Next, apply the Aveda Nourish Mint Smoothing Lip Color (£12.50) and blot. Reapply up to five times for a berry-drenched stain effect.
Step 4. Complete the look with minimal mascara.

Look 2. The Eye Opener
This look adds a colour twist on the timeless smoky eye. By replacing black with a punch of colour, your natural features will look beautifully enhanced.
Step 1. Create a base with Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisturiser for a primed and polished look.
Step 2. Choose a deep colour and use it dramatically by tracing the top and bottom waterline with the Aveda Cerulean Bloom or Bitter Sweet Petal Essence Single Eye Color (£11.50). Simply use the colour and blend using the bottom lash line as a guide and blend into the eye socket from the top lash line.
Step 3. Finish by applying the Aveda Foxglove Nourish Mint Lip Liner with the Aveda Nourish-Mint Rehydrating Lip Glaze (£15.50) on top to transcend this look from day to evening.

Look 3. The Multi-Tonal
This dramatic party look suits darker complexions or olive skin tones best and is a great way to create a dramatic smoky eye.
Step 1. Use a good quality base with primer to ensure your skin is flawless and polished in preparation for your look.
Step 2. Apply Aveda Brown Velvet Petal Essence Single Eye Color to the whole eye generously below the lower and top lash line ensuring to blend into the socket and above the lash line.
Step 3. Highlight the eye with a flash of colour with Green Tuberose Petal Essence Single Eye Color and blend with the Brown Velvet at the corners of the eye.
Step 4. Accent with Aveda Callalily Essence Single Eye Color between the eye crease and the eyebrow and on the apples of the cheek.
Step 5. To complete, use Aveda Tarragona Nourish Mint Lip Liner to fill the entire lip area for a complete matte berry finish.
