Shiseido SS14 Beauty Trends

Marc by Marc Jacobs SS14With Christmas and New Year preparations nearing the end, StyleNest brings you the latest Shiseido beauty trends for SS14

With laser cut leathers making frontline on the catwalk for this season, Dick Page Shiseido Makeup Artistic Director has created a range of customised beauty looks that will see you through pretty pastels, to cheerful brights.

At Marc by Marc Jacobs, Dick created a reinterpreted 70s disco with a relaxed and modern satiny shine.

“I’m calling this easy glamour. It’s a simple 70s thing. It’s just the easiest way of putting makeup on.”

For this look, Dick was inspired by David Bowie’s Life on Mars music video. A cornflower blue shadow was applied across the lid and crease, layered with a bold electric blue for a vibrant look. Balanced with natural lips and dewy fresh transparent skin.

Creating a matte pretty skin, layering the eyes with colours of blues and keeping the lips natural and moisturised this 70s inspired look is both bold and pretty.

At Narcisco Rodriguez he offered a look that “was left over from the night before,” fluffing and smudging in a natural and fresh faced way.

“For Narcisco Rodriquez Spring Summer 2014, I’m focusing on transparency in order to make the face look as believable as possible, so everything is used in a very subtle way.”

A no makeup look, the brows were softly defined with a natural lip colour and a flash of glow to the cheeks for a beautiful and refined finish. A tea stained eye, Dick used new shimmering cream eye colour in Shoyu, blended with moisturiser to effortlessly melt into the skin.

Opting for an enhanced beauty for SS14, transparency and a natural glow was at the heart of the look whilst the main focus was set on the eyes. From brushstroke greens to watercolour blues, Dick Page used a melted technique to enhance the effects of the eye.

Harmonised with the collections of SS14, Dick Page created a range of makeup looks to create an exuberant cool and quiet sophistication.
