Famous for their expert blends of essential and plant oils, aromatherapy experts Decleor have recently launched a new aromessence oil and a new range, Intense Nutrition. Described as “comforting skincare”, Decleor has designed the range to bring relief to tight, dry skin by providing “all of the essential elements that a dry skin craves”. After the recent cold snap comforting, intense nutrition sounded like exactly what our skin needed, so StyleNest couldn´t wait to try it.
Marjoram is the key ingredient in the collection´s new Aromessence Marjolaine, chosen by Decleor for its high concentration of a molecule called Gamma-Terpinene. This molecule has been scientifically proven to act on genes to stimulate lipid synthesis and to strengthen and hydrate the skin’s barrier, protecting it in the harsh, winter months. To enhance its nourishing properties, marjoram has also been blended with other oils known for their exceptional survival powers in extreme climates. Decleor advise using the range as your daily routine if you are a dry skin sufferer, or as a booster for winter if your skin is suffering as a result of the change in seasons, and ours definitely was. The cold weather had left our skin had not only dry and tight, but even worse, red, sensitive, and sore, so we decided to take Decleor´s advice and switch from our usual routine to Intense Nutrition, and upped our game further with their hydrating cleansers and toners. The range smelt incredible with its essential oils and plant extracts, and the textures were rich and luxurious to use, but incredibly light to wear. The nourishing Comforting Cocoon day cream just melted into our skin, and left a silky smooth finish that was a perfect base for make-up. We could feel, and see, the relief immediately, our skin looked and felt instantly softer, and more importantly, instantly soothed. The red, sensitive patches looked calmer and really did feel comforted, just as Decleor promised. Within just a couple of days our skin was back to normal, if not better than normal. Not only hydrated, but also plumper, softer, smoother, and glowing.
