Coco Noir

IChanel Coco Noirn 1984 Coco was born, a blend of wood, resins, flowers, spices and fruits and in 2011 Coco Mademoiselle came with a bouquet of simplified fruit and flower. Now 2012 sees the launch of Coco Noir, a seductive and opulent fragrance which melts into the skin like an elegant bouquet of sophistication.

The launch of Coco Noir explores the journey of Gabrielle Chanel and her exploration of the colour black and Venice. Described as nocturnal Baroque, the fragrance draws on elements of Gabrielle’s life when she travelled to Venice to mourn the only man she love and her discovery of dressing simplistically. Gabrielle contrasted her simple style with flashes of colour and gold. Here she discovered, for a woman to be seductive, she has to be both mysterious and light hearted.

The heart of the fragrance is concentrated in its woody base and musky notes. A true blend of Coco and Coco Mademoiselle, Coco Noir blends spices with fresh jasmine. The base of the fragrance is generously layered with sandalwood, vetiver, frankincense, patchouli, vanilla, tonka bean and a musky note. Coco Noir radiates a bouquet of spicy freshness with pink peppercorns and grapefruit and the sensual heart of the fragrance of jasmine, rose and narcissus. Sophisticated and elegant, notes of cedar, rose geranium leaf and a minty touch adds an opulent touch of seduction.

Coco represents the woman who is mysterious, modest and desirable with a luxurious simplicity. Mademoiselle reflects a pre-war fragrance of frills and flowers but Coco Noir is complex in its form celebrates a change in notion and true femininity and power.

Coco Noir is available exclusively at all Chanel fragrance and beauty counters. Coco Noir Eau de Parfum 50ml is priced at £75 and Coco Noir Eau de Parfum 100ml is priced at £106.
