Bobbi Brown Monday to Sunday Lips

Bobbi BrownHere at StyleNest we’re heralding the start of spring by shaking things up in our make-up routines and experimenting with fresh new lip colours.

Bobbi Brown are known for their much-loved lipsticks so we were keen to try the brand new shades launched in their popular Monday To Sunday Lips collection. With hues to suit all skin tones, styles and occasions, the latest additions to the range have been inspired by requests from make-up artists around the world. With such high recommendations, we couldn’t wait to test the new colours.

The Creamy Lip Color was our first port of call, given that it promises to moisturise and condition as well as give a lasting, fresh-looking colour. StyleNest tried the Raspberry Pink and were instantly impressed by how smoothly the product went on. Even just a light layer lasted well during a busy and blustery morning and the pretty hue didn’t look too overpowering against our pale skin. Best of all it gave us the spring in our step that the brand’s founder and all-round make-up guru Bobbi aims to bring to all women. ‘Lipstick is an easy way to instantly lift your mood and your look,’ she says – and we couldn’t agree more.

Perhaps this confidence boost was helped by knowing that the Creamy Lip Color offers multiple benefits as well as looking good; the formula smoothes fine lines and wrinkles whilst delivering moisture and conditioning qualities.

For those who like to follow the most up-to-date make-up trends, sheer lip colour is everywhere this season. Thankfully Bobbi Brown have provided a whole array of updated shades in their Sheer Lip Color, though here at StyleNest we love the classic Pink, a bright but beautifully wearable hue which was comfortable enough to wear all day.

Whilst sheer formulas aren’t known for lasting as long as creamier versions, we were pleasantly surprised by the staying power of this one. Even when the initial pop of colour had started to fade, we were left with a gorgeous stain effect which looked just as lovely. Additionally it’s good to know that the Sheer Lip Color isn’t drying; the product contains luxurious butters and oils to improve the condition of the lips as well as providing nourishing shine.

For those after all-day wear, the range’s Creamy Matte Lip Color is the way to go. There are eight new shades to choose from and StyleNest particularly like the intriguing names, including Heart and Mandarin.

The verdict? We’d quite happily work these lip colours all the way through Monday to Sunday.
