It’s all about the makeup with this week’s new releases – palette addicts will be delighted and there’s some exciting news for later in the year that will keep your spirits up as we ease out of summer…

Bobbi Brown are releasing the chicest of palettes this month to celebrate their 25^th anniversary. Their City Collection includes three eye and cheek palettes with beautiful London, Paris and New York illustrations on the cases. Available exclusively at Harrods, the palettes include four eyeshadows and a blusher in shades inspired by the city on the front. If you want envious looks when you pull products from your makeup bag, these are the palettes to go for.

On the subject of palettes, the new addition to the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette line-up is a good one. The Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette (£35) is available from 18^th September and consists of 12 new neutral matte eyeshadows ranging from Blow (a pale nude demi-matte) to Black-Jack (a warm black matte). This is going to fly off the shelves!

Another high-end brand, Nars, have announced a 1^st October release date for their new Velvet Lip Glides (£22). This new liquid lipstick formula, with Nars’ Oil Infusion Complex, combines the effortless ease and fluidity of a lip gloss with the pigmented coverage and comfort of wearing a lipstick. The 13 shades are named after the iconic venues and new attitudes that came out of the sexual revolution in the ‘70s, and they will nourish your lips as well as make them look good.

Makeup brand New CID Cosmetics have unveiled their Christmas line-up of products, which will be available to buy from 1^st October. Mistletoe Lips (£28) is a gift set comprising of a duo of i-Pout lipsticks in three festive colourways. They are also launching Cocktail Kisses (£25 and online only), which is a gift set of three tinted lip balms to condition and give a hint of colour; and Enchanting Eyes (£25), a set of three long-lasting cream to powder eyeshadows in gemstone-inspired shades.

Nail product brand Mavala have just launched their new base coat Mava-Strong (£16). It’s designed to strengthen nails (when used regularly) that suffer from splitting and breaking by coating them with a clear formula enriched with active ingredients including Vitamin E. Mava-Strong will also leave them with a glossy finish.
