October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and in addition to making a donation and wearing your pink ribbon, you can support breast cancer charities through purchasing certain beauty products this month – helping you to do good and feel good at the same time.
Popband London, the fabric hair tie company, are supporting the Pink Ribbon Foundation throughout October. If you purchase one of their pink products – the Flamingo, Sweetie or Bubblegum Hair Ties (£8), they will donate 80p from the sale to the charity. They will also donate 60p from the sale of their £6 Neon Pink or Baby Pink Poplaces.
The Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Awareness Beauty Box is back again this year and it’s a great one. The £20 box is packed full of deluxe travel-size samples from the beauty brands under the Estee Lauder Companies umbrella, and they will donate a massive £12 from the sale of each box to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The contents of the box include your own pink ribbon to wear as well as Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (7ml), Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Mascara (2.8ml), Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (30ml), Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover (30ml), Bumble & Bumble Thickening Hairspray (30ml), Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (7ml), Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (7ml) and Aveda Hand Relief Moisturising Crème (40ml).
Origins have also released a full-size version of their Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (100ml for £24) in a limited edition pretty pink ribbon design and they will donate £4 from the sale of this to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Skincare brand Elemis have released a bright and beautiful pink set to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. Elemis will donate £10,000 from the sales of their aptly-named Hero Collection (£55 but worth £95), which contains products for both the face and body. The new collection contains the new Pro-Collagen Neck and Décolleté Balm, their Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, their Frangipani Moni Body Oil and their Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules – all in deluxe bumper travel sizes.
